We are just days away from the U.S. presidential election. The election will be held on November 5. Previously, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump were busy preparing for the presidential election. On Monday, former President Barack Obama will rally for Harris, while Trump will attend a religious event. Kamala Harris held a rally in Pennsylvania on Sunday. It’s a swing state, and the results here can influence the outcome of the national election.
The election took an even more interesting turn as election surveys revealed a tight race between the two candidates. Both candidates are focused on swing states.
Separately, Virginia Attorney General Jason Miares today asked the Supreme Court to allow some voters to be removed from the rolls ahead of next week’s election. The National Voter Registration Act prohibits states from systematically removing voters from their rolls within 90 days of an election.
Last week, a judge blocked the plan after challenges from civil rights groups and the Biden administration. Judges also ordered more than 1,600 people to be removed from the electoral roll.
