There is sure to be a contest between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump in the presidential election to be held on November 5 in America. Meanwhile, the performance of Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris seems to be improving. After President Joe Biden withdrew from the candidacy, Kamala Harris’s approval rating has increased by 8 percent compared to last week.

Citing the Ipsos poll, ABC News reported that Kamala Harris’s approval rating is now 43 percent. Whereas, his dis-approval rating is 42 percent. That means, 43 percent of Americans want Kamala Harris to be the President. Till last week, Kamala Harris’s approval rating was 35 percent and her disapproval rating was 46 percent.

That is, after Biden withdrew from the presidential race, not only has Kamala Harris’s approval rating increased, but her dis-approval rating has also declined.

US President Joe Biden had announced his withdrawal from the presidential race on July 20. He supported Kamala Harris. Since then, Kamala Harris’s popularity has increased further. Recently, former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have also supported the candidature of Kamala Harris.

Trump’s approval rating decreased

On the other hand, the approval rating of Republican candidate Donald Trump has declined. Trump’s approval rating is now 36 percent and dis-approval rating is 53 percent. Whereas, last week his approval rating was 40 percent and dis-approval rating was 51 percent.

ABC News/Ipsos poll has also released the approval rating of Kamala Harris as well as many other leaders of the Democratic Party. These include the approval rating of Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear at 13 percent, California Governor Gavin Newson’s 21 percent, Josh Shapiro’s 17 percent, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s 20 percent, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper’s 7 percent, Arizona’s Senator Mark Kelly has 22 percent and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has 6 percent.

Kamala Harris got Obama’s support

On July 26, former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle supported the candidacy of Kamala Harris. Obama called Harris and informed him about this. Obama says Michelle and I are proud to support you. On this, Kamala Harris said that Michelle-Barack, this means a lot to me.

Now voting will be held on August 1 to choose the presidential candidate in the Democratic Party. After getting the support of Barack Obama and Michelle, Kamala Harris’s candidature is now considered almost certain.
