Officials said three people were killed and three others were injured in a shooting in Northeast Virginia on Tuesday evening, and one or more shooters were loose.
Around 5:30 pm, 911 calls came about a shoot in a Town House Complex in Sportsylvania County, about 65 miles (105 km) south -western in a Town House Complex, outside Fredericksburg and about 65 miles in the south -west of Washington.
The officials urged the people to avoid the area and the people near the scene stay inside the house, while the authorities investigated, they said.
According to Scott, shooting may have been done by more than one people. There was no immediate arrest or publicly released information about the possible objective.
Scott said, “Dozens of officials are actively looking for suspects and preserving the crime site.”
Three injured people were taken to hospitals with a gunshot wound. Their conditions and other information about them were not immediately available.
According to Scott, all the victims were found outside.
During an evening news conference, he said, “As long as we find the suspects, we will stay all night.”
The authorities asked any witness to send any videos that could help in investigation.
Fredericksburg City Public Schools announced on their website that the schools would start two hours late on Wednesday “on the intensive impact of the incident on our school community members.”
The statement said, “This delay will give us the necessary time to prepare our buildings and employees to welcome students with care and support to our buildings and employees during this difficult time.”
