The CBI team investigating the death of three candidates preparing for civil services examination at Rau’s IAS Study Circle in Old Rajendra Nagar has reached the coaching centre. On Wednesday, 10 to 13 officers of the Central Investigation Agency (CBI) team reached RAU’s IAS Coaching Center in Old Rajendra Nagar. The team officers will investigate the basement of the coaching center here, where three UPSC aspirants lost their lives due to rain water filling on July 27.

Court handed over investigation to CBI

The CBI registered the FIR on August 2 following directions from the Delhi High Court, taking into account “the seriousness of the incident and the possibility it may involve corruption by public servants”. The High Court has also asked the Central Vigilance Commission to appoint a senior officer to monitor the CBI investigation in a time bound manner. Initially Delhi Police was investigating.

Questions raised on Delhi Fire Service also

Questions have also been raised on the role of Delhi Fire Service in approving Rau’s IAS Study Circle. The High Court bench said, “How did the children drown? You have now investigated. Why could they not come out of the basement? It does not fill immediately, it takes at least two-three minutes to fill the basement, it does not happen in a minute.” It is possible.” Due to this incident, candidates preparing for civil services examination have protested in the area. On August 5, the Supreme Court also took suo motu cognizance of the drowning of three candidates.

The accident happened on 27th July

Three students preparing for UPSC exam in India’s capital Delhi died on Saturday (July 27) due to water logging in the basement of their coaching institute. The accident took place at RAU’s IAS Coaching Center located in Old Rajendra Nagar. Two girl students and a boy were trapped inside the basement for more than four hours; by the time they were rescued, all three were dead.

Delhi Police has arrested Rau IAS coaching owner.

Delhi Police said that it has arrested the honor and coordinator of RAU’s IAS Study Circle. Speaking to news agency ANI, a student said, ‘Both the MCD and the coaching institute are guilty, they should be held jointly liable.’ Another student told ANI that around 20-25 students were trapped in the basement of the coaching centre. Most came out through their own efforts and some students were left trapped inside.

Let us tell you that the Delhi High Court has taken a tough stand on this accident and reprimanded the Delhi Police and has handed over the responsibility of investigation to the CBI. The court directed that strict action should be taken against all the culprits and transparency should be maintained in the entire investigation process.
