Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana is constantly in the headlines for the ongoing controversies regarding her film ‘Emergency’. Her film was to be released in theaters on 6 September, but after the controversies, the censor board has put the process of giving certificate to the film on hold for the time being and the film has been postponed for further release.
But on the other hand, Kangana Ranaut, who is facing controversies of ‘Emergency’, has also signed a new project. Kangana is now going to work in a new film titled ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’.
Kangana will play this character in the new film
Trade expert Taran Adarsh informed that Kangana will now be seen playing the lead role in a new film named ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’. According to Taran’s social media post, this film will show ‘a wonderful story of ordinary people and their extraordinary achievements.’
The writer and director of this film is Manoj Tapadia who has written songs for films like ‘Cheeni Kam’, ‘Madras Cafe’. Manoj wrote the song for R Madhavan’s film ‘Irudhi Suttru’ in 2016, which was released in Hindi as ‘Sala Khadoos’. Babita Aashiwal and Aadi Sharma are the producers of ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’.
Controversy has erupted over Kangana’s ‘Emergency’
Kangana’s film ‘Emergency’ is embroiled in a big controversy these days. Kangana is playing the role of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi in the film. Apart from playing the lead role in the story, Kangana is also the director and producer of ‘Emergency’.
The trailer of her film was released on 14 August and controversies regarding the film also started with it. Sikh organizations accused Kangana’s film of ‘hurting sentiments’ and showing a ‘wrong image of Sikhs’. After the trailer was released, protests were held against the film in Punjab and demands for a ban on it started being made. Finally the censor board stopped the censor certification of the film. No one can tell right now when ‘Emergency’ will be released.
The original release of the film was planned for October-November 2023. But then it was scheduled for 14 June 2024. But due to the Lok Sabha elections, the film was postponed once again and finally its release date was set as 6 August. And even on this new date, ‘Emergency’ will not be able to release.
