Last night in Ambedkar Nagar, UP, a domineering constable, angry over the power cut, opened fire on the employees of the electricity department. The constable is also accused of threatening an employee by putting a pistol on his temple. Currently, a case has been registered against the accused constable on the complaint of the victim employees. He has also been arrested.
It is being told that the pistol from which the firing was done is a government one. This pistol has been given to the constable by the police department. This constable Sharad Singh posted in Lucknow has been absent from duty for the last three-four months. In the meantime, he committed this crime.
On the other hand, electricity employees started boycotting work in protest against the incident, due to which the matter started getting serious. After which Sharad Singh was arrested. Electricity employees have demanded security. The matter is of the Jafarganj electricity sub-station of the district.
According to the information received, an 11,000 volt wire fell on the substation, due to which the power supply was disrupted. Meanwhile, Sharad Singh, a resident of Belua Bariyarpur, who is posted as a constable in Lucknow, reached there. He asked to start the power supply to our village, but the employees told him that the wire is being repaired and the power supply will be started after it is repaired. Constable Sharad Singh got angry at this. He brought a pistol from home and put it on the temple of an employee. He fired in the air when he was opposed.
The scared employees informed the department officials about this. But the officials did not take any action on it. Out of helplessness, the employees themselves filed a complaint in Malipur police station, on which the police registered a case and arrested the accused constable. A case of murderous assault has been registered against the constable. The employees had stopped work, which created panic. Later, they agreed after being convinced.
