Monsoon is completely kind in Uttar Pradesh. Flood like situation prevails in many districts of the state. Due to rain, Ganga-Yamuna is flowing above the danger mark in Prayagraj. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in many districts of UP from 20 to 22 August. However, despite rain in some districts of the state, humidity persists.

Lucknow weather

Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, may see moderate to heavy rain today i.e. on 20th August. The Meteorological Department has predicted moderate rain with thunderstorms in Lucknow till August 24. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Lucknow is likely to remain between 32 to 33 degrees Celsius this entire week and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 25 to 26 degrees Celsius.

There are chances of heavy rain in these districts

According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of heavy rain in Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Santarvidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Gonda and Shravasti districts of Purvanchal on Tuesday. At the same time, heavy rain can also be seen in Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi and Prayagraj of Bundelkhand.

Apart from this, heavy rains may also occur in Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Sitapur, Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya districts of Terai and Awadh. Heavy rains may also occur in the areas around Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur in Western UP.

IMD has issued an alert of heavy rain in 34 districts of UP. There is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts including Basti, Gonda, Lucknow. According to the Meteorological Department, the rain is not going to stop for the next 3 days. Today i.e. Tuesday, there are chances of heavy rain in Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Banda, Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Gonda, Santravidas Nagar, Jaunpur and Shravasti districts.

Apart from this, heavy rains may also occur in Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Saharanpur, Shamli. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur and its surrounding areas. According to the Meteorological Department, this series of rains will not stop till August 22.
