UP Police: Criminal with a bounty of Rs 50,000 arrested after encounter, wanted in 3 cases including murder

Baghpat wanted criminal encounter: In Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat, a criminal with a bounty of Rs 50,000 on his head was finally arrested by the police after a brief encounter. During the encounter, the accused suffered a leg injury. The police gave information about this incident on Tuesday.

Giving information about this case, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Preeta Singh posted in Baghpat told PTI that the miscreant has been identified as Harsh Jogi, who has a bounty of fifty thousand rupees on his head. He was arrested after a short encounter from Chandinagar police station area on Monday night.

According to Circle Officer Preeta Singh, the accused Harsh Jogi was surrounded by the police team in Chandinagar police station area on the basis of a secret information. Seeing himself trapped, the cunning criminal Harsh opened fire on the police personnel. Later he was surrounded and then arrested.

The police officer said that a pistol, some cartridges and a motorcycle have been seized from the possession of the accused miscreant. Preeta Singh further said that three cases including murder are pending against Harsh Jogi in Baghpat district.
