UP: Newly married woman dies mysteriously, family says death due to dowry, FIR registered

A newly married woman died under mysterious circumstances in Kaushabi, Uttar Pradesh. Police rushed to the scene, took custody of the body and sent it for autopsy. Police said a dowry death case has been registered against the husband and in-laws of the deceased. Further action will be taken after investigating the matter.

Police said on Monday that a dowry death case was registered against her husband and in-laws after a newlywed woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances, the news agency reported. The accused were identified as husband Abdul Karim, father-in-law Idris, mother-in-law Kosri and brother-in-law Shahid.

In-laws killed for dowry

Police officer Manoj Kumar Raghuvanshi said the victim’s brother Noor Mohammad had filed a complaint at Sarai Akil police station against his sister Ruby Parveen (Ruby Parveen) was murdered by her husband and in-laws for dowry. Mohammad told police that Parveen married Karim on July 27.

The defendant will be severely punished

The bureau said Noor Mohammed received information on Sunday that his sister had been murdered for dowry. Based on her complaint, a dowry death case has been registered against Karim, his parents and brother. The CO stated that further investigation into the matter is ongoing. Thereafter, the defendant will be severely punished.
