UP Police Constable Exam 2024: Another FIR has been registered in the case of spreading rumors of UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam paper leak. UP Police Recruitment Board has lodged an FIR in Lucknow’s Hussainganj police station against those who spread rumors of paper leak by making a video in the constable recruitment exam. Earlier on Friday, an FIR was lodged against 7 people for spreading rumors of paper leak on the social media platform Telegram and trying to cheat the candidates through QR Code. One of the 7 people is also the name of SP leader and former minister Yasar Shah.

Fake video of paper leak was created by tampering with the time

In the new case, a video of the paper of the first day i.e. 23 August 2024 exam was made and the rumor of paper leak was spread by tampering with the time. It is being told that on Friday, i.e. on the first day of the constable recruitment exam, after the completion of both the shifts, a video of the first shift question paper was made and the news of paper leak was spread on social media. The accused made the video by using the time before the exam and made it viral on social media.

FIR registered under these sections

After investigating the viral video, the UP Police Recruitment Board has registered an FIR in Hussainganj police station. In this case, the FIR has been registered under Section 318 (2)/338/336 (3)/ 336 (4)/340 (1)/ 340 (2) of the BNS as well as Section 13 of the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination Ordinance and Section 66 C and D of the IT Act.

FIR registered against 7 people who falsely claimed paper leak

Earlier, the recruitment board had contacted the candidates through Telegram and made false claims of providing the paper and demanded a huge amount in exchange for the paper. The board had lodged an FIR against 7 people along with the Telegram accounts in this case. These include the names of Shoaib Nabi Saifi, Harish Kumar Bhagat, Delight Enterprises, Manu Kumar Srivastava, Kapil Jangid, Siddharth Kumar Gupta, Yasar Shah. Yasar Shah is a SP leader and has been an MLA from Matera assembly seat.

Action can be taken against SP leader under these sections

The FIR states, ‘Yasir Shah S/o Dr. Waqar Ahmed Shah and many others are trying to extort money through various groups, accounts, bank details like QR Code and tarnish the image of the UP government. This act of theirs is likely to have a bad effect on law and order due to the anger created among the candidates. This attempt of theirs is prima facie punishable under Sections 318(4), 336(3), 338 and 340(2) of the Indian Justice Code-2023 and Section 13 of the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Ordinance-2024. Under the Ordinance-2024, if found guilty in the paper leak, life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 crore will be imposed. The responsibility of investigating both these cases has been entrusted to the Cyber ​​Cell and STF.

32.45% candidates left the exam on the first day

On the first day of Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam, 32.45% candidates left the exam. On the first day, about 9 lakh 60 thousand candidates were to appear in the exam. Out of these, 8,19,600 candidates downloaded the admit card for the first day’s exam, but only 6,48,435 candidates appeared for the exam. After downloading the admit card, about 20 to 25 percent of the candidates did not appear for the exam. DGP Prashant Kumar said that it is possible that in the meantime many meritorious students may have got jobs elsewhere or may also go to other services. Apart from this, this time the recruitment board has made such arrangements that there is no chance of rigging. Perhaps drop out may also occur due to this.

61 suspicious candidates were caught on the first day

61 suspicious candidates were caught in the UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam on Friday. After matching the documents of the suspicious candidates, they were allowed to sit in the exam. But the Recruitment Board will release the result of their written exam only after scrutinizing the documents. Apart from this, 4 cheaters were caught, including 3 candidates who were cheating with the help of electronic devices or other means from Maharajganj, Raebareli and Kanpur and 1 candidate who had come to give the exam in Kanpur by writing a lesser age was arrested. Before this, a woman constable and her partner were arrested from Gorakhpur for cheating in the name of selling the paper of Police Recruitment Exam.
