UP: Child could not recite the multiplication table of 7, teacher beat him and injured him, also slapped student’s father

A shocking incident has come to light in Agra, UP. A teacher in a private school beat up a student of class 2 badly for not reciting the tables (multiplication table), due to which he got seriously injured.

Regarding this incident, the police said that a teacher of a private school has been arrested for beating a class 2 student for not reciting the multiplication table of seven. Police said that the accused has been identified as Ashok, a resident of Torda village.

According to the news agency, the police said that according to the complaint filed by the boy’s father Pramod, his 8-year-old son returned home from school seriously injured.

Pramod alleges that his son’s school teacher Ashok had asked him to recite the multiplication table of seven. But when he could not do so, Ashok beat him brutally, he said.

The teacher also slapped the child’s father

Pramod told the police, ‘When he reached home after school, he complained to me about the incident. He had injury marks on his hips. When I went to complain to Ashok, he slapped me and threatened me with dire consequences in the future.’

Based on her complaint, an FIR was registered under sections 115(2) (causing hurt), 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. Ashok has been arrested and further investigation is underway, the police said.
