UP by-election: Ramsagar Kori BSP candidate from Ayodhya Mirkipur constituency, BJP, SP yet to be announced

The political atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh is currently filled with the smell of by-elections. It has been more than three months since the Lok Sabha elections and now all eyes are on the by-elections to 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Bahujan Samaj Party announced its candidate from the Milkipur parliamentary constituency in Ayodhya. However, the Samajwadi Party and the BJP are yet to announce their candidates. Ramsagar Kori will once again be the candidate from Milkipur under the BSP. He was ranked third in the 2022 elections with around 46,000 votes.

Awadhesh Prasad’s son will be the candidate
The Samajwadi Party has almost decided to field the son of MP Awadhesh Prasad as its candidate. Ajit Prasad will be the candidate but the official announcement about him has not been made yet. Currently, there are many contenders for the BJP seat.

Former BJP MPs from Milkipur Baba Gorakhnath and Chandrabhanu Paswan have shown their strength in Yogi Adityanath’s scheme, but the BJP is yet to decide on anyone’s name.

Mayawati holds a large meeting
Mayawati held a big meeting in Lucknow on Thursday, in which a review meeting was held on the issue of assembly by-elections. It was decided in the meeting that BSP will contest all 10 seats. Let us tell you that Akash’s return to UP is also being prepared. There was a demand for Akash Anand to hold a meeting on the by-elections.

By-elections will be held for these 10 seats
These 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh will go for by-elections. Of the 10 vacant seats, five seats, namely Seesamao, Katehali, Kajal, Mirkipur and Kundaki, belong to the SP. Meanwhile, Phulpur, Ghaziabad, Majjiwan and Kher are on the side of the BJP. The Mirkipur seat was won by the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), an ally of the BJP.

1- Ghaziabad: BJP MP Dr Atul Garg won the Ghaziabad Lok Sabha seat.
2- Manjhwa: Nishad Party MLA from Manjhwa, Dr Vinod Kumar Bind won the Bhadohi Lok Sabha seat from the BJP ticket.
3-Meerapur: RLD MLA from Meerapur, Chandan Chauhan, has become the MP from Bijnor.
4- Milkipur: Samajwadi Party MLA from Milkipur, Ayodhya, Awadhesh Prasad has become the MP from Faizabad seat.
5- Karhal: Karhal MLA and Leader of Opposition Akhilesh Yadav won the Lok Sabha election from Kannauj.
6- Katehari: SP MLA of Katehari Lalji Verma won the Lok Sabha election from Ambedkar Nagar.
7- Kundarki: Kundarki MLA Ziaur Rahman Burke won the Lok Sabha election from Sambhal.
8-Pulpur: BJP MP Praveen Patel has won the Purpur Lok Sabha seat.
9- Khair: BJP MP from Aligarh Khair seat and state government minister Anup Pradhan Valmiki won the elections from Hathras Lok Sabha seat.
10 – West Samau: The seat fell vacant due to cancellation of membership of Samajwadi Party member Irfan Solanki after he was jailed in a criminal case.
