The SP has fielded Haji Mohammad Rizwan as its candidate here. It is understood that the SP has held this seat since 2002. Haji Mohammad Rizwan, 70, has about 40 years of political experience and has won elections since 2002. In 2002, he won the first election from Kundalki seat. Thereafter, he lost the 2007 elections to BSP’s Haji Akbar but later made a comeback and Haji Rizwan won twice in a row in 2012 and 2017 this seat.
