The district administration is on high alert to conduct the by-election in Kethari seat of Ambedkar Nagar in a peaceful and fear-free environment. Katehari constituency includes four police station areas namely Bhiti, Ahiroli, Mahrua and Ibrahimpur. Police and paramilitary forces conducted flag-hoisting marches in these areas to ensure the safety of local people. Katehari parliamentary constituency has 184 sensitive booths and 15 super-sensitive booths.

Ahirauli police station in-charge Sunil Kumar Pandey also led a large number of police forces and paramilitary troops in foot marches in Katehri Bazaar, Shravan area, Annwan, Baijpur, Yadav Nagar, Mijhaura, Parasrampur and Chachikpur.
