UP by-election: Kathari polls should be conducted peacefully, paramilitary troops conduct flag-hoisting march

The district administration is on high alert to conduct the by-election in Kethari seat of Ambedkar Nagar in a peaceful and fear-free environment. Katehari constituency includes four police station areas namely Bhiti, Ahiroli, Mahrua and Ibrahimpur. Police and paramilitary forces conducted flag-hoisting marches in these areas to ensure the safety of local people. Katehari parliamentary constituency has 184 sensitive booths and 15 super-sensitive booths.

He assured local voters that strict action will be taken against those found guilty of any irregularities during the election process and on the day of polling. Ahirauli police station in-charge Sunil Kumar Pandey also led a large number of police forces and paramilitary troops in foot marches in Katehri Bazaar, Shravan area, Annwan, Baijpur, Yadav Nagar, Mijhaura, Parasrampur and Chachikpur. Apart from this, he also assured people of safe and peaceful voting by visiting sensitive and vulnerable polling stations. In the meantime, the Ahirauli police station chief also warned anarchists in the police station area that strictest action will be taken against them if anyone tries to spread anarchy in the elections.
