The police has made revelations about the murder of a young man that took place on August 8 in Itaunja, Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. In this, the murderer was his childhood friend, who, while drunk, strangled his friend to death and then ran away. Meanwhile, DCP North Abhijeet R Shankar said that an unidentified body was found inside a pit next to Gohna Khurd farm in Itaunja police station area, which was identified as Ashish Lodhi of Itaunja. After this, a case was filed on behalf of the deceased’s father Deshraj Lodhi and in this case the police has disclosed the incident.
Both friends drank 12 bottles of country liquor together.
The DCP said that four teams were formed to uncover the murder, in which the killer turned out to be none other than his childhood friend Anil Verma. The DCP further said that the house of the accused is about 100 meters away from the house of the deceased, both of them were old friends.
He further said, “On asking the accused, it was revealed that both of them had consumed a lot of alcohol. Both of them had consumed about 12 bottles of country liquor. During this time, the accused was abused by his mother and sister on some issue, due to which he became angry. A fight and quarrel broke out between the two. After that the accused strangled the deceased with a garland and a shirt and there was a pit at the same place where the body was hidden.”

The DCP also said that the cloth that was used to pull the body was also recovered. Along with this, the garland that the deceased wore around his neck has also been found. In the entire incident, each and every statement of the accused has been verified as per his daily routine and we have also recovered the clothes of the victim one by one. What has been found in the investigation so far shows that there was some dispute regarding property between the two families but this incident happened suddenly. This incident happened due to abuse and alcohol between the two. At present, the accused will be arrested and further legal action will be taken in judicial custody.
