Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and senior BJP leader and party election incharge for Jammu and Kashmir, Ram Madhav, accompanied BJP candidate Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali in filing his nomination papers from the Budhal Assembly Constituency of Rajouri district on Thursday.
The leaders arrived in Rajouri by helicopter, where they were received by the BJP candidate and his supporters. A road show was organized starting from the irrigation ground and concluding at the Returning Officer’s (RO) office, where Ch Zulfikar Ali filed his nomination papers to contest the polls as the BJP candidate from the constituency.
Later, a party workers convention was held at the irrigation ground in Kotranka, which was addressed by the leaders. They urged the people to vote for the BJP candidate.
A road show and workers convention of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) were also organized on this occasion.
