Sharing his statement on social media platform X, Giriraj Singh wrote, ‘I am Giriraj and I will always speak and fight for the interests of the society. I am not going to be afraid of these attacks. Those who used to pamper and caress him seeing his beard and cap should see today how land jihad-love jihad and communal tension is being created in the entire country including Begusarai, Bihar.’
This incident happened during the Janta Darbar on Saturday. In his statement, Giriraj Singh said, ‘All the officers in the Janta Darbar started walking after listening to the problems of the people. First, he forcefully took the mike and started talking about irrelevant things. We tolerated it and moved ahead. Then it seemed that he would attack me, he behaved like this and then started shouting slogans of Murdabad.’
He said, ‘Giriraj Singh is not afraid of such things. We will continue to raise our voice against anyone who wants to disturb communal harmony.’ In response to a question, he termed the Waqf Board as a ‘land grab movement’.
