An incident of stalking and molesting a 12-year-old female student took place in Bhiwandi town of Thane district in Maharashtra. In this case, a case has been registered against the accused under the Indian Judicial Code and the POCSO Act based on the complaint of the students. The police are investigating the matter.
Based on the information, the accused was identified as Safiullah Matiullah Ansari (22 years old). A case was registered against him at Shanti Nagar police station on Tuesday. It is reported that on October 19, the defendant harassed the victim for the first time on the playground of the victim’s school. Touched her inappropriately.

Police said that based on the complaint filed by the victim and her family, a case has been registered under sections of the Indian Judiciary Code (BNS), including Section 126 (2) (wrongful restraint) and Section 74 (injury to a woman). The Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act is included in addition to Insult to Dignity), 78 (Stalking) and 351 (Criminal Intimidation). An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
