The state government has initiated the recruitment process to fill up long-standing vacant posts in various government departments of Uttarakhand. Under this initiative, the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) is receiving applications from various departments. Based on these requests, the commission has announced the probable dates for the upcoming examinations.

Exam Dates Announced
As per the examination schedule announced by UKSSSC, the examinations for various posts will be conducted from October 21, 2024 to September 10, 2025. The Commission will issue press releases from time to time so that candidates can get information related to the examinations and prepare accordingly.

Information about the post
In this process, UKSSSC has received applications to fill up around 4,958 vacancies in Home, Health, Police, Forest, Tribal Welfare, Transport and other departments. It includes various posts like Assistant Agriculture Officer, Radio Technical Services, Junior Engineer, Primary School Teacher, Police (Constable), Forest Ranger, etc.

Exam timetable and possible changes
According to the announced exam dates, these exams will be conducted from October 2024 and will continue till September 2025. The Commission also said that the exam dates are tentative and can be changed as per the requirements. This process is being done with the intention of conducting recruitment in various government departments as per the requirements.

Candidate Guide
Candidates are advised to check the official website of UKSSSC for exam related updates from time to time. The organizing committee will provide the admit card and other necessary information on time so that candidates can complete their preparations on time.

Impact of government efforts
This recruitment and examination process is an important step in filling vacancies in the country’s government departments. This will not only improve the country’s administrative work but will also provide eligible candidates with an opportunity to get government jobs. However, it is worth noting that this process is still based on tentative dates and may undergo some changes. The success of the examination depends on whether the examination is conducted on time and whether the selection process is transparent.

Candidates will have time to prepare: UKSSSC Chairman GS Martolia
GS Martolia, Chairman, SSC and former IPS officer said that with the release of the calendar, candidates will be given enough time to prepare for the exams in advance as per the exam dates. All exams will be conducted as per the dates given in the calendar, however, there may be some changes in the dates which will not affect the preparation of the candidates. The release of all exams will also be released 21 days before the exam date.

What did Bobby Panwar, the head of the unemployed union, say?
Bobby Panwar, president of the unemployed union, said that UKSSC also released a calendar before the exam, but the exam was never conducted as per that calendar. We demanded that the commission publish the exam advertisement as well as the vacant seats as per the department’s regulations. Release the scheduled calendar. Bobby Panwar further said that due to the postponement and waiting of the exam, there are many candidates who have passed the age limit. There should be at least one chance to take the exam, just like there was a 7-year gap between the recruitment of police officers, which resulted in many young people exceeding the age limit for the exam. If it is not you who recruited, then why should the young people in the hills bear the brunt?

UK SSSC Controversy
The Uttarakhand UKSSSC (Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission) 2022 question paper leak scandal has rocked the state and exposed serious flaws in the examination system. The allegations of question paper leak came to light after news of sensitive question papers being sold to candidates before the official examination date came to light. The scandal has triggered widespread protests from candidates and demands for a thorough investigation. The state government has assured strict action against those involved and on the orders of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the investigation has been handed over to the STF. The STF has arrested more than 50 people in the case, though many of them, including Hakam Singh, the main accused in the entire scam, were later granted bail. A lot of changes have also been seen in the UKSSSC, the most important of which is the appointment of former chairman GS Martolia to the post of chairman, after which things have gradually improved in the UKSSSC.
