Moscow: Ukraine fired missiles at Russia in a powerful counterattack. On Monday night, Ukraine fired six U.S.-made ATAC missiles toward the Bryansk region of Russia. Russian forces shot down five of the missiles while causing serious damage to another, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday. The Defense Ministry said fragments of the missile landed at a military installation. Falling missile fragments sparked a fire but caused no casualties or property damage, he said.
The attack will continue
The attack came as Washington lifted a ban on Ukraine using U.S.-made long-range missiles to target Russia. However, Ukraine did not immediately confirm the use of ATACM missiles in the attack on the Bryansk region. Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian Army Chief of Staff said that the Ukrainian army attacked the armory of the 1046th Logistics Support Center in the Karachyov region of the Bryansk region of Russia. He said several explosions were heard in the area where the attack took place. The Army Chief of Staff has said that “attacks on Russian military weapons depots will continue to end Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.”

It is worth noting that Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine in recent times. Russia has carried out air strikes on residential areas in Ukraine for the third time in the past three days. Twelve people, including a child, were killed in the latest attacks in Russia. A drone strike in the Sumy region injured 11 people, including two children, Ukrainian rescue service officials said on Tuesday. He expressed concern that more people may be trapped under the rubble.
Will Russia launch a nuclear attack?
In the meantime, we also want to tell you that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a new nuclear policy on Tuesday. The new policy states that Russia can use nuclear weapons in response to an attack on its ally Belarus if it “receives credible information about the launch of a ballistic missile targeting the territory of Russia or its allies.” (Associated Press)
