Arvind Kejriwal resigned as the Chief Minister of Delhi. After Kejriwal’s resignation, Atishi was elected as the new leader of the Aam Aadmi Party legislature party. Atishi also met the Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena and made a pitch for forming the government. Now the date for the formation of the new government has also come out.

The Lieutenant Governor has proposed September 21 as the date for swearing in of the new government. In this situation, now the discussion has started about the form of Atish government. According to sources from the Aam Aadmi Party, the ministers of Atish government will also take oath. But if sources are to be believed, the number of ministers who will take oath along with the Chief Minister may be two. Including the Chief Minister of Delhi, there can be a total of seven ministers.

It is not clear whether faces from the previous Kejriwal cabinet will be included in the Atish cabinet or whether the government will look different. With less than six months to go for the Delhi assembly elections, the focus of the Aam Aadmi Party will be on speeding up the pace of work in the ministries, which has slowed down due to CM Kejriwal’s jail time.

In such a situation, it is believed that only old faces can be trusted in the Aatish cabinet. With four months left for the elections, it seems that the Aam Aadmi Party will not give the responsibilities of a new ministry to a new face. The logic behind this is that a new minister needs one or two months to understand the functioning and working of the ministry, while the government has only four months left for the assembly elections.

It is noteworthy that Arvind Kejriwal, who was out on bail in a liquor scam case, has announced his resignation as chief minister. While announcing his resignation, Kejriwal said that he will now file a case in the People’s Court and will not assume the post of prime minister until the court makes a decision. After Kejriwal’s resignation, Atish claimed to form the government.
