Two boys jumped into a pit filled with water to save their friend, all three died due to drowning

A pit near Majhaua Airport in Arrah city police station area was filled with flood water. Three boys died on Sunday by drowning. After the incident, the family of the deceased called 112 and called the police for help. The police team did not reach the spot. After this, angry people created a ruckus in Sadar Hospital. Then the police from the local police station reached the spot and somehow pacified the angry people.

The deceased include Anikesh Kumar Pandey, 20 year old son of Basukinath Pandey, resident of Devnagar Mohalla of Nagar police station area, Shubham Kumar, 15 year old son of Samarendra Singh of the same locality and Atul Kumar Shukla, 17 year old son of Arvind Shukla. Police is currently in custody of all three bodies. Has been sent for post-mortem.

It has been told that three friends living in Devnagar locality near Majhaua Airport of Nagar police station area had gone to see the house under construction of one of their friends. Due to soil erosion, a pit had formed near the said house and it was flooded. Was filled with water. Among these, a boy’s foot slipped and fell into the pit. Seeing their friend drowning, the other two boys jumped into the pit one by one to save him.

After this, all three died due to drowning in water. As soon as the local people got information about the incident, they reached there and somehow pulled out the three boys drowned in water, but by then it was too late and all three boys had died. According to the deceased’s neighbor Ashok Kumar Mishra, the three youths had gone to take a bath in the flood water. Meanwhile, he died due to drowning in a pit filled with flood water.

Ara Sadar in-charge SDO Vikas Kumar, who reached the spot, said that the three children had gone to see the house under construction. Then a child slipped and fell into a pit filled with flood water adjacent to the boundary of the house. While trying to save him, both his friends also drowned in the water and all three died. The process of giving the assistance amount given by the government to the family of the deceased has been started.

Here, the family members had created a lot of ruckus due to the late arrival of the police dial 112 team. On this, Sadar SDPO Parichay Kumar said that the information given to the police team was about the wrong location. Due to this, the police arrived a little late and the family members became a little angry.
