In the Presidential Debate before the US Presidential election, there was a heated debate between former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris on the issue of abortion in America. During the debate, Republican candidate Donald Trump defended the abortion policy and supported the 6-week ban on abortion. Trump said that the Democrats’ policies on abortion have been outdated.

On the issue of abortion, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris advocated for women’s freedom of choice and said that Trump should not tell women what they should do with their bodies. Kamala said, “The government and Donald Trump should not tell women what they should do with their bodies”.

Kamala Harris said that if Donald Trump is elected, he will sign a bill banning abortion across the country.

When Trump was asked if he would veto a bill banning abortion at the national level, he said that he would not need to do so because no such bill would be able to get approval from Congress.

Harris then Roe v Wade ruling Explained in clear terms its policy for reinstatement.

Let us tell you that in 2022, the US Supreme Court abolished the constitutional right to abortion established by the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. This 1973 decision legalized abortion across the country.

Kamala said that currently more than 20 states have abortion laws influenced by Trump’s policies, which restrict abortion. Because of this, it is a crime for a doctor or nurse to provide health care in cases related to abortion. In one state, there is a provision of life imprisonment for this.

Kamala Harris said that if Trump wins, she will try to bring in rules for a nationwide abortion ban. She said that the government should not make rules for some freedoms, such as the freedom to take decisions related to one’s own body, especially Donald Trump should not make such rules.

Kamala said that Trump’s rules do not follow any exception in cases of abortion. There is no exception even in cases like rape and assault. This means that even if someone survives these crimes, she does not have the right to decide what should be done with the child if it remains in her womb. In such a case, the victim does not even have the right to take decisions on her body.

Vice President Kamala strongly opposed Trump’s policies on abortion, saying that it is immoral and one does not need to give up their faith or deep beliefs to agree with the government and Donald Trump should certainly not tell any woman what she should do with her body.
