Trump is reluctant to increase China’s tariff, signs to reduce them

President Donald Trump said he was reluctant to continue tariffs on China as it could stop trade between the two countries, and insisted that Beijing had repeatedly reached a bid to make a deal.

Speaking to reporters at the Oval Office on Thursday, Trump said that the officials believed that Chinese leader Xi Jinping had demanded to start a conversation. But he repeatedly rejected the questions whether he and Xi were in direct contact.

Trump said, “I have a very good relationship with President Xi, and I think it’s going to continue. And I would say that he has reached many times.”

When pressure was pressurized whether Xi had approached him directly or was it Chinese authorities, Trump replied, “Okay, the same. I see it very similar. It would be the top levels of China.”

“If you knew him,” Trump continued, referring to Xi, “You would know that if he reached out, he knew exactly. He knew everything about it, he drives it very tight, very strong, very smart.”

The US and China have extended import duties in an economic confrontation between two superpowers, seeking to impose on major trading partners. They have increased the new levy by a combined 145% on Chinese goods, while Beijing has retaliated with the Duties of 125% on the US.

Trump said on Thursday that he was reluctant to increase those duties – and suggested that he could be open to reduce them.

Trump said, “At a certain point I do not want them to be higher because at a certain point you make it where people don’t buy. So I do not want to go high, or I don’t want to go to that level even to that level,” Tram said. “I can like to go less, because you know, you want people to buy.”

Even surprisingly with a bubble -wise tariff at a high level, the two countries have publicly excavated with the White House, saying that China should first and Beijing should arrive saying that it was not clear about America’s demands.

Nevertheless, Trump expressed confidence in a deal on Thursday that would include business concessions and a deal for the sale of US property in Tikok.

“Well, we have a deal for Tikokok, but it will be subject to China, so we will delay this until this thing works,” he said. ,

Trump has earlier stated that Objections on China’s new tariff made a deal to sell Tikok and to operate the popular video sharing app in the US.

“I think it’s a good deal for China,” said Trump. “Tikokok is good for China. And I think they want to see us making a deal, especially the deal we have done with some best companies in the world.”

Asked if he would keep the tariff in mind if China signed the Bidence Limited. Dividing the American operations of the app, Trump said that it would be something he can discuss with Beijing.

“This is a natural – if we are making a deal. I think we will spend five minutes to talk about Tiktok. It won’t take a long time,” he said.
