US presidential candidate Donald Trump was attacked for the second time in two months. The attack occurred while Trump was playing golf at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, when gunshots were heard. The defendant was arrested immediately after the incident.

The gunman was about 400 to 500 yards from Trump, hiding in the bushes. The gunman was later arrested in a nearby county. U.S. officials said Secret Service agents shot a man who was pointing a scoped rifle at the club while Trump was at the golf course.

The defendant is a habitual offender

According to officials, the suspect has been identified as 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh. After checking the suspect’s background, police found that the suspect is a repeat offender. Ryan Wesley currently lives in Hawaii and has had dozens of conflicts with police since the 1990s.

Routh is from North Carolina, where he was arrested for drug possession, driving without a valid license and driving without insurance. In addition, Routh barricaded himself in the roofing company’s office for three hours and then fled after a traffic stop at gunpoint before being arrested.

According to records, Rouse moved to Hawaii in 2017. Rouse’s LinkedIn profile describes him as someone with a keen interest in creative projects and mechanical work. Rouse is originally from Hawaii and runs a shed construction company called Camp Box Honolulu, which builds simple housing structures for the homeless.

Democratic Party supporters

Rouse has been critical of Trump. Rouse has been a longtime supporter of the Democratic Party, openly supporting left-wing campaigns and promoting his self-proclaimed do-gooder image on social media. According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records, Ryan Rouse has made 19 donations of more than $140 since 2019. He has also donated to former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democrat and current Trump supporter.

Ukraine supporters

Routh has also made numerous posts on social media about Donald Trump. In one post on X, he wrote that he was fully prepared to help Ukraine against Russia. “I am ready to fly to Krakow, to volunteer at the Ukrainian border, to fight to the death – will I be able to cross the border without a visa to fight? Every citizen around the world should go to Ukraine to fight,” Routh wrote. “Can I set an example? We must win.” In an old video, he can also be seen crying and pleading with people to “come and fight.”
