There has been a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy of Jharkhand. Hemant Soren government has transferred 25 IAS officers including the Principal Secretary to the Governor and the Secretary to the Chief Minister. Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Principal Secretary to the Governor, has been made the Principal Secretary of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department, while Vipra Bhal, Secretary, Information Technology and e-Governance Department, has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary to the Governor.

– Principal Secretary of Planning and Development Department, Mast Ram Meena has been given the additional responsibility of Principal Secretary of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department.
– Sunil Kumar, Principal Secretary, Road Construction Department, has been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department as well as Managing Director of JUIDCO and Greater Ranchi Development Agency (GRDA).
– Secretary, Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department, Dr. Amitabh Kaushal (Additional Charge- Secretary, Disaster Management Division, Jharkhand) has been appointed to the post of Secretary, Information Technology and e-Governance Department. Apart from this, he has been given the additional charge of Secretary of Commercial Tax Department.
– Secretary of Building Construction Department, Manish Ranjan (Additional Charge- Managing Director, Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation Limited) has been made the Director of Shri Krishna Institute of Public Administration.
Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, has been made Secretary of Disaster Management Division.
– Secretary of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department, Abubakkar Siddique has been given the responsibility of Secretary of Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department.
– Secretary, Information Technology and e-Governance Department, Vipra Bhal (Additional Charge-Secretary, Commercial Tax Department and CEO, Jharkhand Communication Network Limited) has been appointed Principal Secretary to the Governor.
Manoj Kumar, Secretary, Women, Child Development and Social Security Department, has been given the additional responsibility of Secretary, Excise and Prohibition Department.
