Jagannath Puri cyclone storm triggers panic
Puri, the city of Lord Jagannath in Odisha, is facing clouds of trouble. According to the India Meteorological Department, Cyclone Dana will hit the Odisha coast on October 25. In this case, Puri may suffer destruction. After receiving the notification from the meteorological department, tourists and devotees who reached Puri started leaving the city quickly. The state government also appealed to people outside the city to evacuate the pilgrim city of Puri. The Odisha government issued an advisory in this regard on Monday.
In this regard, the state government claimed to be vigilant in preparing for rescue operations, but considering the safety of tourists here, it also asked them to leave Puri before the arrival of the cyclonic storm. The government in its advisory said that a cyclonic storm is likely to hit between Puri and Sagar islands on the night of October 24 or in the morning of October 25. Meanwhile, the state government has issued an alert to the Puri district administration and said there should be no influx of new tourists in Puri from October 22.
