The torrential rains in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, brought relief to the city residents from the sultry heat, but due to this, life has been affected. The first rain of monsoon has created a situation of waterlogging at many places in the city. Even the assembly premises are flooded with rain water. Apart from this, the roof of the headquarters of the Municipal Corporation which is responsible for cleaning the drains of the city has also leaked due to rain water.

Videos of water filled UP Assembly have also surfaced. Here vehicles entering the campus are seen moving in water. The employees coming out of the Assembly are wearing their clothes up to their knees. Security personnel are also doing their duty in such rain.

The budget session of UP Assembly is going on. Meanwhile, MLAs and employees are facing problems due to water logging in the assembly premises. Their movement has also been disrupted due to rain. Due to heavy rains, water has also entered Lucknow Municipal Corporation. Even the roof of the Municipal Corporation has leaked, due to which a situation of waterlogging has arisen in the Corporation.

Even in Hazratganj area, roads have become submerged due to heavy rains. Flood of water is visible on the roads. There is knee-deep water. People are facing a lot of problems in commuting. Water has even entered people’s homes.

Samajwadi Party’s national general secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav has also targeted the UP government regarding the water filled basement of Lucknow city and assembly. He said that if this is the situation due to torrential rains then the rest of the state is relying on God. Uttar Pradesh Assembly needs the budget the most.

This is the first monsoon rain in Lucknow and the capital has become like this in the first rain itself. Here the water filled in the headquarters and offices is being taken out with buckets. Now governments should take a lesson from the Delhi incident and make proper arrangements for drainage of water so that no major incident occurs.

Darulshafa of Lucknow is also filled with water. Here residences are allotted to the MLAs. Here too there is knee-deep water. Here the MLAs reach their residence in their respective vehicles, but the local people living here have to face difficulties.
