The incident took place in Shitala Baksh Ka Purva village in Gauriganj police station area, where the body of a person named Badri Prasad was found in suspicious condition.
After the incident, the police launched an investigation based on complaints from the deceased’s mother. Through interrogation and mobile phone details, the police came to know that the deceased’s wife Rajneesh was having an affair with someone else. On the day of Kava Jos, she strangled her husband to death along with her lover and four other colleagues.

Accused Rajnisha, while filing a police report on Sunday morning, said her husband Badri Prasad Lodh returned to her house from another house opposite the field at around 2 pm on Saturday night. He started feeling pain in his throat and Rajneesh bought him painkillers from a shop in the village. He died after some time.
The police received the body and sent it for autopsy and began investigating the case. A few hours after the incident, the mother of the deceased made a report to the police accusing her wife and an unidentified person of murder. Subsequently, the police opened a case and retrieved the wife’s call records, and the entire conspiracy was exposed.

During the investigation, the police learned that Rajneesha, the wife of the deceased Badri Prasad, had a long-term affair with Subhas from the same village. After Badri learned about this, he often beat his wife. In addition, Rajneesh also had an inappropriate relationship with Parmanand and Anil, residents of the same village. A few days ago, she had an inappropriate relationship with Sahil, a resident of Annibaijal, a neighboring village. Sahil is a relative of Rajneesh’s eldest lover Subhas, and he used to work as Subhas’ DJ.
Late on Sunday night, Rajneesh called Subhas to her house and plotted to murder her husband Badri Prasad. Subhas called Parmanand, Anil and Sahil on the spot. Parmanand, Anil and Sahil strangled Badri Prasad to death while he was sleeping.
