An incident of abuse by a teacher occurred in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. Shailendra Tiwari, the principal of Newari Senior Primary School in Manjhanpur block, behaved cruelly towards the student. The accused teacher threw a stick at the child and beat him, causing him to lose sight in his left eye. Even after two surgeries, the student has yet to regain his sight. The mother of the victim student seeks justice from the CWC.

Earlier, the teacher had handed over a fake check of Rs 10 lakh to the victim’s family to settle the case. On the instructions of DM Madhusudan Hulgi, the police have registered a case against the accused teacher Shailendra Tiwari and started investigation. The incident took place in Newari under Kalari police station area. The child’s mother told reporters that her son Aditya was a class six student at Kushwaha Primary School in Newari.

Teacher hits student with stick

On March 9, 2024, when he went to school, the class teacher became angry about something and threw a stick at the student and beat him to death. The stick hit the student’s left eye, which began to bleed. The victim’s family said they had also complained to the police about the incident. This was ignored.

Thereafter, complaints regarding the incident were investigated on instructions from the BSS. The investigation report on April 15, 2024 confirmed that this was true. Despite this, no action has been taken on the matter. The teenager was undergoing treatment at Sadguru Eye Hospital in Jankikund, Chitrakoot. Doctors also performed two surgeries on him. But doctors refused to restore vision.

The victim’s family said the teacher also gave them a fake check for Rs 10 lakh. BSA Kamalendra Kumar Kushwaha, on the other hand, said that he was responsible for the matter. In this regard, an inquiry report has been sought from the block education officer. The department will take further action against the accused teachers.
