Salman Khan said this

Salim-Javed gave the concept of ‘Angry Young Men’ to the Hindi film industry. Now his documentary series is coming with the same name. At the trailer launch of the series, Salman Khan said, ‘Many writers write. Salim-Javed think, they put in their life experiences, what they learned from the people around them, what they saw, what their parents taught them, the way their children have grown up, what they have implemented in their life. Have taken lived things and made cinema from them. Other writers learn from cinema and then put it into cinema itself.

Javed was happy with Salman’s words

The actor further said, ‘God creates men, but man does not want to remain a man. That makes a lot of men. But this generation does not want to remain these men. Both of them, my father and Javed Saheb, are men. They are still men. They want to be men. Javed Akhtar became very happy after hearing this from Salman Khan. He punched the air happily.

Salim-Javed together wrote 24 films in the industry, out of which 22 proved to be hits. This includes ‘Deewar’, ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Sita Aur Geeta’, ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ and ‘Sholay’ among others. It was Salim and Javed who started the trend of giving credit to writers in films in the industry. This powerful couple got name, money, fame and status… everything. However, the day also came when this couple broke up. ‘Angry Young Men’ documentary series will be released on Amazon Prime Video on August 20.
