Taslima Nasreen said, “Hasina, to appease Islamic fundamentalists, threw me out of my country in 1999 when I entered Bangladesh to see my mother on her deathbed and I was barred from ever entering the country again. The same Islamic radicals have been involved in the student movement, who forced Hasina to leave the country.”
