The issue of animal fat in offerings at Sri Venkateswara Balaji Temple in Tirupati has attracted widespread attention across the country. In a petition filed in the Supreme Court, directions are said to have been issued to constitute a committee under the supervision of the Supreme Court to look into the allegations of substandard ingredients and animal fat in laddus served by Bhog Prasad in Tirumala. Meanwhile, people have also requested the court to issue an order in the meantime to prepare a detailed forensic report of laddus test report in the laboratory and a report on the source of the ghee sample used in the test. .
Prasad adulteration charges
Naidu alleged that the offerings at the Tirumala Tirupati temple were adulterated with animal flesh and other putrid substances. A writ has also been filed in the Supreme Court in this matter. The petition letter issued earlier has become a writ.
The petitioners’ lawyers Rajiv Kumar and Satyam Singh said that in this petition, it is also requested to order an inquiry into the matter as it has hurt the faith of tens of millions of devotees.

TDP spokesperson Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy disclosed the laboratory report at a press conference on September 19.
