Three people from Bihar died in Jaipur basement accident, CM Nitish announced assistance of Rs 2 lakh

Due to heavy rains in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur on August 1, an accident similar to the one that happened in Delhi’s Old Rajendra Nagar on July 27 occurred. Three people, including a 6-year-old girl, drowned when rain water entered the basement of a house in Vishwakarma area of ​​Jaipur. All three deceased were originally residents of Bihar.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar expressed grief over the accident in Jaipur. He posted on social media platform The Local Commissioner, New Delhi has been instructed to coordinate with the Rajasthan Government and ensure advance action by taking detailed information about the incident. Along with this, Nitish Kumar has announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased.

These people lost their lives in the accident

Kamal Shah (23), Pooja Saini (19) and her niece Purvi Saini drowned in rain water that entered the basement of their house in Vishwakarma area of ​​Jaipur. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West Amit Kumar said that the families started taking out their belongings after water entered the basement of their house at around 4 am in the morning. But the path leading to the basement is narrow and deep. Amit Kumar told that three people from two families got trapped due to water filling in the basement. Rescue operations were started and rain water was pumped out. Police said that the SDRF recovered the bodies during the rescue operation that lasted for several hours. Expressing grief over the incident, CM Bhajanlal Sharma announced to provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the family of each deceased.

Deputy CM Diya Kumari expressed grief

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari met the families of the deceased and expressed condolences. He said that efforts have been made to remove the problem of waterlogging in the area. On the other hand, police said that residents of the area have been advised not to stay in their basements during the rains. Police said that all the victims are natives of Bihar. The bodies were handed over after post-mortem.
