It has been three months since the rape and murder of a medical student at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. However, the perpetrators have yet to be punished. The chargesheet has been submitted to the court by the CBI. But junior doctors claim justice has yet to be served. Let us tell you that on August 9, the body of a junior doctor was found at RG Kar Medical College Hospital. In this case, the police arrested the accused citizen volunteer Sanjay Roy. He is currently being held in prison.
The West Bengal Junior Doctors Front has called for a citizens’ march to directly challenge the CBI. To seek justice, he called for a march from College Square to Dharmatalla on November 9 at 3 pm.
He also said that apart from this, footage of the activities of junior doctors will also be shown on the day. Along with this, blood donation camp will also be organized at RG Kar Hospital.

Doctors raise questions on CBI chargesheet
The West Bengal Young Doctors Front launched a torch march last Wednesday. He led the torch-bearing procession from the West Bengal Medical Council to the CGO complex. Protesters raised many questions that day. Junior doctors also raised questions about the CBI chargesheet that day.
His question was that although the autopsy samples were collected on August 9, they were only sent to the Central Forensic Laboratory on the 14th. Why so late? Sanjay Roy was arrested on the evening of the 9th, but his blood-stained clothes were taken out of the military camp on the 12th. So why so late?
The junior doctor further stated that the charge sheet had a very specific timeline of the day when the incident occurred, detailing what happened at different times. The parents of the deceased arrived at RG Kar Hospital at around 12:15 noon that day. But there is no mention of what happened after they arrived and why they were unable to get close to Abhaya’s body for three hours. Likewise, there is no mention of when information about the incident was provided to Talla Police.
Doctors demand early punishment
Further, junior doctor Debashish Halder raised the question why the university authorities did not file an FIR? Why did Abhaya’s parents have to file an FIR? On the 9th, the creation of the Kaiser Memo ended at 10:45 pm, the FIR was registered at 11:45 pm, and Sanjay Roy was arrested at 11:30 pm. Arresting a criminal so soon before filing an FIR naturally arouses suspicion.
The junior doctor also said Abaya’s parents were not allowed near the body. They were not allowed to cremate the body. What is the reason why the police’s funeral work is so fast? Who gave the order? Who gave the order that family members are not allowed to go there during the cremation?
He also said that as per the charge sheet, Sanjay Roy entered RG Kar Hospital at 3.20 am. Then headed to the trauma care building at 3:34. I came out at 3:36 in the morning and went to the fourth (fifth) floor of the emergency building. At 4:30 in the morning, he was seen on the CCTV of the chest medicine ward on the third (fourth) floor. Debashi Halder asked Sanjay if he had been on the fourth floor for about half an hour? What is Sanjay doing on the fourth floor?
