Threats to bomb Indigo flights again
The trend of bomb threats against aircraft in India has not stopped. Another Indigo flight made an emergency landing at Raipur in Chhattisgarh. The step was taken after information was received about a bomb on board a flight from Nagpur to Kolkata. After receiving information about a bomb inside the flight, the flight made an emergency landing at Raipur airport as a precautionary measure and immediate security measures were taken.
After receiving information about the bomb, security checks were stepped up at the airport and search operations were conducted. Passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft and the aircraft was evacuated. The bomb squad has since been called and is investigating.
Case investigation is still continuing
However, all passengers on board are safe. After the incident, flights at Raipur Airport were temporarily affected. Currently, the investigation of the aircraft is ongoing. Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh said that 187 passengers and six crew members landed at the airport immediately after receiving the bomb threat. Mandatory safety checks were conducted and security arrangements were enhanced. The bomb squad was called, all passengers were safely evacuated and the plane was being inspected.
International agencies are investigating
Meanwhile, Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu said that in order to stop these false threats, international agencies, law enforcement agencies and intelligence agency teams are continuing to investigate the matter. At the same time, the central government is also considering amending aviation laws.
