As soon as the bulldozer came down, the muffler was stuck to the road. The decision to crush the muffler with a road roller was taken by the Andhra Pradesh police themselves. According to police, the muffler that was destroyed was modified to make a loud noise.
The police destroy these mufflers in the middle of the road with the sole purpose of making people aware of noise pollution and motivating them to obey traffic rules.
