BSNL has achieved a major milestone in providing ultra-fast 4G connectivity to tens of millions of users. The company has installed 50,000 new 4G mobile towers across the country, of which 41,000 towers are now operational. Recently, the company shared this information through its official X controller. The government telecom company also said that it has installed 5,000 4G mobile towers in places where there was no mobile network so far, i.e. where there is no Airtel, Jio or Vodafone Idea network.
Airtel, Jio, Voda are surprised!
Talking about mobile connectivity in India, around 95% of the places will have mobile signal. BSNL has provided 4G connectivity to these remote areas. The government telecom company has set a target of installing 100,000 4G mobile towers by June next year. Tensions among private companies Airtel, Jio and Vodafone-Idea will intensify after the commercial launch of 4G services under the Bharat Sanchar Nigam.
Recently, private telecom companies increased mobile recharge charges and BSNL added 5.5 million mobile subscribers in the past two months. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of private company users have declined. Jio suffered the biggest loss, losing about 4 million, or 4 million users. However, the country’s largest telecommunications company hopes its users will be able to get back online again.
Start getting a better 4G connection
In addition to 4G services, BSNL is also preparing to launch 5G. Government telecom companies are installing 4G/5G mobile towers based on indigenous technology. With the installation of 50,000 new 4G mobile towers, BSNL users will get better connectivity than before. The company has also decided not to make recharge plans expensive in the near future. At the India Mobile Conference last month, the company said the focus would be on adding users rather than making plans expensive.
