This week’s OTT releases: Penguin, Agatha and more

Fans of the superhero genre have plenty to choose from with two blockbuster releases this week: The Penguin, which tells the story of the eponymous character from the Batman universe rising through the underworld of Gotham City, and Agatha’s Story, which tells the story of Agatha from the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuing her journey after the events of WandaVision. On the domestic front, there’s a heartwarming comedy, JioCinema’s I Love My Family and Netflix’s comedy talk show The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2. Elsewhere, Elizabeth Olsen’s Three Daughters centers around drama and family relationships. This week’s releases cater to all moods and preferences, from lighthearted humor to intense drama and dark fantasy.

The nine-episode series follows Agatha’s journey after she is imprisoned in Westview by Wanda Maximoff. With her unique powers, Agatha brings together a group of outcast witches and embarks on an adventure that explores magic, identity, and reality. A blend of dark humor, mystery, and fantasy. The first two episodes are available on Hotstar; new episodes are released every Thursday at 6:30am.

His three daughters

His Three Daughters is a bittersweet drama directed by Azazel Jacobs. Over the course of three turbulent days, old grudges surface and love shines through the cracks of a shattered family. The film explores the complex family dynamics, humor and heartache as siblings deal with death and their separate lives.

As Mitesh starts to successfully execute his plans, he must face the inevitable consequences of outsmarting a vulnerable old man.

The Penguin is a gritty superhero spinoff of Batman (2022). Colin Farrell reprises his role as Oswald Oz Cobblepot as he rises through Gotham’s underworld. Set in the aftermath of Carmine Falcone’s death, the eight-episode series follows the Penguin’s ruthless ambitions to take control of the city’s crime scene, despite the opposition of Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti). The series explores the dark side of Gotham, bridging the gap between Batman and its sequels.

The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2

Kapil Sharma’s talk show is back with hilarious sketches, quips and celebrity guests. The show follows the same format as the first season where Sharma used to interview celebrities and his other team members would continue to play various characters. Guests this season include Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan, Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. Episodes will air every Saturday at 8:00 pm.
