This thing was left inside the woman’s stomach during the surgery… CT scan was done four months later, then the secret was revealed

Negligence of a doctor of a government hospital in Latur, Maharashtra has come to light. Here, during a cesarean operation, a cloth used to clean blood was left inside the woman’s stomach. Four months later, when the woman started having stomach pain, she was taken to a private hospital, where this was revealed in a CT scan. The woman’s husband complained about this matter to the hospital in-charge. After this, an investigation committee was formed. After the investigation report, the doctor and nurse have been temporarily suspended.

According to the information, this case is of the government hospital of Ausa city of Latur. Sangeeta Patil, in-charge of Ausa Civil Hospital, said that a woman from Murum village of Dharashiv district was admitted to the government hospital of Ausa on 12 April 2024 due to labor pain. Seeing the patient’s blood pressure increasing, the doctor’s team decided to do a cesarean operation. Due to this, a cesarean operation was done on 13 April. After the operation, this woman was discharged from the hospital.

After this, on 2 May 2024, the woman came to Ausa Civil Hospital complaining of stomach pain. On examination at that time, we sent the woman to the government hospital in Latur because the stitches applied after the cesarean operation had not dried, where the treatment continued for 20 days. After this, she was discharged again, but after about four months, the husband of this woman has made a complaint. It is written in it that when his wife’s cesarean operation was done in the government hospital of Ausa, the cloth used to clean the blood was left inside her stomach.

This information was received when a CT scan was done in a private hospital in Umarga of Dharashiv district due to stomach pain. The woman’s husband said that I have the X-ray and documents. That is why strict action should be taken against the doctor and nurse who performed the cesarean operation in Ausa Civil Hospital.

The in-charge of the civil hospital said that after receiving the complaint, we had formed an inquiry committee against the doctor and nurse staff who performed the operation. After the inquiry report came, the doctor and nurse have been temporarily suspended. The victim’s husband said that the doctor and nurse who performed the operation have been temporarily suspended, but my demand is that they should be permanently suspended, so that no woman’s life is ever played with in this way in the future.
