There is a panic in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, due to the continuous explosions of intercoms, solar panels, and pagers. First, many people were killed in the explosion of pagers on Tuesday, and then within a few hours there were reports of explosions of intercoms, solar panels, and mobile phones. It is reported that these explosions have killed 20 people and injured more than 500 others.

In the midst of all this, the Israeli Army Chief of Staff made a major statement, saying that Hezbollah will have to pay a huge price. Israeli Army Chief of Staff Hertz Halevi visited Israel’s Northern Command on Wednesday (September 18). Halevi inspected the security arrangements in the area and approved the defense and offensive plans.

Hezbollah must pay a price – Israel
“We still have a lot of capabilities that we haven’t activated yet,” he told commanders. “The rule is, every time we work on one phase, we work on the next two phases. It’s more expensive in every phase of the war.”

His statement came as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to return thousands of residents evacuated from the northern border region. Israeli officials have not commented on the attacks on Hezbollah communications equipment over the past two days that have killed more than 20 people and injured thousands.

Statement by the Israeli Minister of Defense

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant visited the Ramat David air base in northern Israel on Wednesday and indirectly referred to the bombing in Lebanon. “We are at the beginning of a new era in this war and we need to adapt,” Galant said. He praised the “outstanding achievements” of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the country’s security agency Shin Bet and its intelligence agency Mossad.

CNN previously claimed that Tuesday’s operation was a joint IDF-Mossad operation, but Galant’s comments were the first time an Israeli official had explicitly acknowledged Israel’s role in both attacks.
