The aim is to simplify regional air connectivity. India has made similar progress in various fields. Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Togai said in an interview that the world needs India. Nobel laureate Paul Romer also acknowledged India’s important role on the world stage and described the biometric system Aadhaar as a revolutionary initiative.

Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu said the government has decided to extend the regional air connectivity scheme UDAN for the next 10 years.
