Atul Subhash from Samastipur in Bihar and Nikita Singhania from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh…the two met at a wedding venue in 2019. Nikita studied for a BA in Computer Science and an MBA in Finance. Atul is a software engineer by profession. Once the relationship was finalized, Nikita’s family said they wanted to get married as soon as possible. The reason was the health condition of Nikita’s father. He had been very ill before. That’s why he hoped that his daughter could get married as soon as possible while he was still alive.
The two got married at a hotel in Varanasi. Then Nikita came to her in-laws’ house. According to Atul (Atul Subhash’s suicide case) cousin, Nikita Singhania stayed at her in-laws’ house for only two days. She then went to Bangalore with her husband. Everything was fine at first. But since having children, they started to quarrel with each other. Nikita also brought her son Vim to her parents’ home in Jaunpur. Even after arriving here, their relationship did not improve.
Nikita subsequently filed nine cases against Atul and his family in Jaunpur. There were six in the lower courts and three in the high court, so he had to travel to Jaunpur many times. In his 24-page suicide note, Atul Subhash, while mentioning torture, wrote that after the dowry case was registered, he traveled to Jaunpur from Bengaluru, his brother from Delhi and his elderly parents from Bihar. Court approximately 120 times. Atul said a person only takes 23 vacations a year and must appear in person 40 times.

In a video recorded before ending his life, Subhash said: “From 2022 onwards, things are out of control.” He filed a murder case, a second dowry harassment case and a third unnatural sex case . However, some cases were withdrawn by his wife. In another such case, Subhash claimed that during cross-examination, his wife admitted that the murder charge she had leveled earlier that her father died of shock after her husband demanded huge amounts of money was false. .
Nikita Singhania has been heavily criticized on social media. Because she first made some accusations against Atul and then later withdrew them, on the face of it, she may have abused the women’s safety law.

Pawan Kumar, father of the deceased, said Atul told us that the arbitration tribunal staff were not working according to the law and even as per the Supreme Court rules, procedures were not followed there. The son had to go to Jaunpur again and again. He went up and down at least forty times. My daughter-in-law and her wife continue to make false accusations. He may have been disappointed, but he never made us aware of it. Suddenly we knew about it – he sent an email to our young son. Everything written in it is true. We couldn’t tell how much stress our son was under.

However, in Bengaluru, Atul’s brother has filed a lawsuit against four people, including his sister-in-law Nikita. In the case of Subhas’ suicide, TV9 Bharatvarsha’s team reached his in-laws’ house.
