Vaishnav said that the new Railway Act became law in 1989, but the Railway Board Act, 1905 was not included in it, which should have been done at the same time. “This bill was brought only to incorporate the Indian Railways Act, 1905, into the Railways Act, 1989,” he said. Vaishnav said the passage of the bill will increase the capacity and development of the railways, which has been increasing in Narender over the past decade. Railways have achieved great development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Vaishnav said that by the end of this month, 1,000 general coaches will be added to the trains for poor passengers and overall, there is a plan to add 10,000 new coaches. He said that under the Modi government, railway budgets have increased, railways have become more electrified and the network has been rapidly expanded. Vaishnav said the Modi government also paid attention to railway safety and as a result, during the UPA government, an average of 153 railway accidents occurred every year, with 40 railway accidents last year and 29 so far this year. A rail accident has been registered. He said attention was being paid to further reducing rail accidents.
