‘This government wants to make a record of railway accidents’, Akhilesh Yadav said on Jharkhand train accident

18 coaches of Howrah-Mumbai Express train derailed in Jharkhand. Two passengers died in this accident, while more than 20 passengers are injured. On this incident, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has said that this government wants to create a record on railway accidents like paper leak.

Speaking to the news agency, the SP chief said, “This government wants to make a record on railway accidents… The government made a record in the paper leak and now the railway accidents… The government only makes big claims. People are losing their lives. The government should do something to ensure that such accidents do not happen in future.”

Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari said regarding this accident that Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav should resign taking moral responsibility.

A railway official said that the derailment of 18 coaches of train number 12810 Howrah-CSMT Express was received at around 3:45 am near Chakradharpur between Rajkharswan West Out and Barabambo of Chakradharpur division. Two passengers have died in the accident. The rescue operation is still going on. An NDRF team is doing rescue work on the spot.

CM Hemant Soren gave instructions

Taking cognizance of this incident, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given instructions to Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan District Magistrate to immediately make arrangements for the treatment of the injured.
