BJP Worker Murder in Patna: On Monday morning, an area in Bihar’s capital Patna reverberated with the sound of gunfire when some armed miscreants shot and killed a BJP worker. Now the police have started searching for the unknown attackers who carried out this incident. The reason for this murder is not clear yet.
This sensational murder was committed in the Chowk area of Patna. The deceased has been identified as Munna Sharma, who was associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party for the last several years. A senior police officer told PTI that the incident was committed outside a restaurant at around 6.15 am.
Police officials issued a statement saying that the miscreants targeted Munna Sharma and after firing the bullets, the armed attackers fled from the spot. Munna Sharma fell there bleeding, after which the local people took him to the nearest government hospital, where he died.
In a statement issued by the police, it was said that the police have registered a case in connection with this murder and have started a search operation to catch the accused. The footage of all the CCTV cameras installed in the area is being scanned to identify the accused.
Politics in the state has also heated up over this incident. RJD leader of opposition in the assembly, Tejaswi Yadav, claimed that this incident shows that crime is flourishing in the state under the NDA government.
Tejashwi wrote on Twitter, ‘The state government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has failed miserably to stop the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. The CM and NDA leaders are unaware of the collapsed law and order situation in the state. Criminals are killing people. CCTV footage shows how criminals are running away after killing the BJP leader.’
