Third accused in Baba Siddiqui murder case arrested, admits responsibility for murder in Facebook post

Police have arrested the third accused in the Baba Siddiqui murder case.

Police have arrested another accused in the NCP leader Baba Siddiqui murder case in Maharashtra. The accused was identified as Praveen Lonkar. Praveen Lonkar admitted responsibility for the murder of his brother Shubham Lonkar in a Facebook post. A Mumbai police team has gone to Pune after the Facebook post surfaced on Sunday morning. Pravin was arrested while his brother was absconding.

Praveen Lonkar is believed to be one of the main conspirators. So far, the police have arrested 3 people involved in the case. Two people were arrested immediately after the incident and one was arrested today. After the incident, different teams of Mumbai Police also conducted raids in different states.

The search for Zeeshan Akhtar has also intensified

In this case, the police are also looking for another accused, Zeeshan Akhtar, who is absconding in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. The profile of Zeeshan Akhtar has been released, in which his real name is Mohammad Yasin Akhtar. There are 22 people in his gang. Files show that a case of extortion of Rs 30 lakh was registered against Jishan at the Jalandhar police station in Punjab. Zeshan demanded ransom from a man named Rano. When he failed to yield, two bullets were fired into his house.

World famous for Zulmi

Information shows that Zeeshan used .32 and .30 pistols when committing the crime. A total of seven cases, including murder, were registered against him. Zeeshan is also known as Zulmi in the Jarayam world. The Mumbai crime branch is also conducting raids at various places to nab Zeeshan.

National Communist Party leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead on Saturday night. The accused committed the incident when Siddiqui was coming out of his son Zeeshan’s office in Bandra East. Defendant then shot him. The bullets hit Siddiqui in the chest and abdomen. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
