Thieves have targeted a watch showroom located in Ahimsa Khand-2 of Indirapuram, a posh area of Ghaziabad, from where thieves stole watches worth crores in the dark of night. This entire incident has been captured in the CCTV camera installed inside the showroom. The police have formed three teams to unravel this matter and have started investigation.
Police said that information about the theft incident was received in a showroom named Sai Creation located in Ahimsa Khand 2 area of Indirapuram police station area. After the information, the team reached the spot and after investigation, it was found that the thieves made away with watches worth crores from the showroom.
Police said that the gang of thieves targeted the showroom between late Saturday night and Sunday morning. This morning, when the showroom owner saw the CCTV camera on his mobile before the showroom opened, he was shocked. The showroom counters were empty and the watches worth crores of rupees on display were missing. In this entire matter, showroom manager Mukund Sharma told that the value of the stolen watches is between Rs 2 crore to Rs 3 crore.
‘Three teams formed for investigation’
ACP Indirapuram Swatantra Kumar said that a complaint was received at Indirapuram police station today at around 11 am, according to which Sai Creations, which is a showroom of watches, falling in Kanavani Chowki area. Watches were stolen from the showroom by unknown theft by lifting the shutter of the showroom. A case has been registered against the accused and three teams have been formed to investigate the matter.
Meanwhile, showroom manager Mukund Sharma told that we had locked the showroom at night, but when we came in the morning, the shutters were folded from outside. He also told that the showroom owner checks the cameras on the phone every morning to check the timing of the cameras, then he said that something has happened inside the showroom, you people do not open the showroom. After this we called the police. There were watches of very expensive brands in our showroom, which the thieves took away with them.
CCTV footage of this incident has also surfaced, in which the accused are seen committing theft inside the showroom. The thieves were wearing masks on their faces while entering the showroom.
‘Two police officers suspended’
Apart from this, two police officers have been suspended in connection with the theft incident in the watch showroom of Shyam Sundar Gupta of Noida, located between Shipra and Kanavani. Indirapuram police station incharge Jitendra Dixit and Kanavani police post incharge Lal Chand Kanojia have been suspended for negligence in this case.
