There will be special vigil on crowded places on Independence Day, DGP said on security arrangements

Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar has issued guidelines regarding Independence Day. He has given instructions to improve all the arrangements at the venues of Independence Day. Besides, instructions have been given to keep special vigil on railway stations, metro stations, bus stands, cinema halls, entertainment venues, shopping complexes, hotels, dharamshalas, guest houses and crowded places.

Along with this, checking of vehicles should be done effectively in all the districts of the state. Using state-of-the-art technology, flights of micro lights, aircraft, paragliding, hand gliders, drones and unmanned aircraft should be carefully monitored. Strong security arrangements should be made around schools and colleges. The activities of suspects and organizations should be monitored in the districts bordering other states.

Social media will be monitored 24×7

Apart from this, DGP Prashant Kumar has given instructions to keep an eye on social media 24×7. Along with this, instructions have been given to take immediate cognizance of misleading, objectionable posts and rumors. India is celebrating its 78th Independence Day this year. On this day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation from the Red Fort.

Traffic police issued advisory

Let us tell you that till 15th August i.e. Independence Day, people traveling from Noida to Delhi may face problems. Due to the Independence Day Parade, entry of goods vehicles (heavy, medium and light) from Noida to Delhi has been banned from 10 pm on 14th August till the end of the Independence Day programs on 15th. All these vehicles will be able to go on their way using the diverted route.
