the air quality deteriorates

Actually, Delhi’s air starts getting polluted from October. There are two reasons for this. First- The weather starts changing from October. The temperature drops and the wind speed is also affected. Second- During this season, farmers in the states around Delhi also start burning stubble. This further increases pollution.

Along with this, bursting of crackers on the occasion of Diwali makes the situation worse. Markets like Sadar Bazar, Chandni Chowk, Kotla, Rohini, Laxmi Nagar in Delhi are mainly centres of cracker business. However, the ban on crackers has also had a bad effect on the employment of people.
